Population & Area
After a population decline starting in the 2020s, a wave of foreign mega-investments reshaped Athens beyond recognition:
- The population exploded from ~5 million to ~200 million.
- Thousands of skyscrapers went up practically overnight, stacked so high they scrape the clouds.
- The Athens Metropolitan sector swallowed Piraeus, Megara, Corinth, and everything in between. Former cities became mere neighbourhoods in the sprawl.
The towers got so big that whole ecosystems moved in up top: parks, markets, even proper forests. You can grind rail-to-rail between rooftop gardens 300 floors up without ever looking down. Heroes with the Rooftop Royalty Feat get a Free Re-roll on anything they pull up here.
The big money rolled in from Japan and the USA and drowned the city in neon, ramen bars, and diners that never close. Drop between the towers and you'll fall into whole worlds: Chinatown, Little Tokyo, a hundred others crammed into the gaps.
Sectors
The mega-city is carved into 5 sectors. Each sector tracks reputation independently:
- North suburbs - stretching all the way to Chalkida. Home turf of the Mont du Taggies.
- South suburbs - down to Sounio and the coast.
- West suburbs - out to Corinth. Controlled by Yo Mama Jama.
- East suburbs - reaching Rafina.
- Center - the old heart of Athens, now dwarfed by everything around it. The most contested sector.
Weather
Unless a Score says different, it's blazing sun all day. Nights stay warm, rain barely shows up. Perfect weather for riding, grinding, and painting the town.
